Summary
Oval oil painting on canvas, Jane Bohun, Mrs George Lucy (m. 1712), attributed to Charles Beale the younger (London c.1660 – London 1714). An oval half-length portrait of Jane Bohun. She is positioned to the left, gazing at the spectator. Her dark hair is curled in ringlets and upright. She is wearing a gold silk dress with white lace detail at a revealing neckline. Framed in an oval gilt frame with double frame design. Jane was the daughter of George Bohun (or Brown) of Coundon. She married Colonel George Lucy (d. 1721) in 1712, as his second wife. She brought the Spitalfields Market into the family. She married secondly the Hon. Robert Moore.
