Summary
Portrait miniature, oil on vellum, Prince William IV, Prince of Orange (1711-1751) by Dutch School, c.1734. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait, in profile to the left, wearing a red coat, and the riband and star of the Garter. Dark eye heavy grey wig, dark eyebrows, aquiline nose, thick lips, small chin. No.28 in Guide 'Small oval miniature in filigree gilt frame in oil. Probably C18 work. Artist unknown'. No catalogue entry.

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
