Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown man wearing a Cuirass, British (English) School, 18th century. A painted ova half-length portrait of a middle-aged man, turned slightly to right, facing, and gazing at the spectator, in a long flowing wig, moustache and small pointed beard, wearing a steel cuirass, revealing gold embroidered jerkin sleeves which are slashed to reveal a white shirt and knotted white stock tied with drooping bow edged with gold fringe.
