Canons Ashby, Northamptonshire (Accredited Museum)
Painted panelling with Trompe l’oeil decorative scheme. Almost certainly painted by Elizabeth Creed for her cousin, Edward Dryden. It comprises fluted columns (painted to resemble marble), cut-out Corinthian capitals, a sloping frieze and decorative swags over the doors, all painted in a very fine Baroque style.
Part of the fixtures and fittings of the House transferred from the Dryden's to the National trust in 1981
