Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, Called Elizabeth Allen, Mrs Edward Dryden. Painted oval. Half-length portrait of a young woman, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, head inclined to the left, light-brown hair dressed high, wearing a blue gown over a white chemise with a red velvet cloak lined with ermine draped over her left shoulder, a fold of which she holds in her right hand.
