Summary description

Oil painting on panel, Prince Frederick Henry, Prince of Orange, Stadholder of the United Provinces (1584-1647) by Michel Miereveldt (1567-1641), signed and dated "Ao.1623 M.Mierevelt". A head-and-shoulders portrait to right in armour and high lace collar, and gold embroidered sash over his right shoulder and across his chest. Varnish shiny and opaque.
