Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, Sir William Scott, 1st Baron Stowell of Stowell Park (1745-1837) by Thomas Phillips, RA (Dudley 1770 – London 1845), 1806. A half-length portrait of a mature man, turned slightlhy to the right, gazing at the spectator wearing a madder velvet coat, yellow vest, and a white stock.
