John Powell Ponsonby Lewes (1900-1989) as a boy
A watercolour of Ponsonby Lewes as a young boy. Ponsonby was the last member of the Lewes family to live at Llanerchaeron. He was a quiet man who inherited his father's passion for hunting and love of the estate. On his death he beqeathed the Llanerchaeron estate to the National Trust.
