Summary
Oil painting on panel, Birds in a Landscape, English School, 18th century. A hen and chicks stand on the bank of a stretch of water, in which are a male and female mallard and their ducklings. A kingfisher perches on a branch at the left, and another flies in from the right. Another bird perches on a plinth at the right.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust, along with Lytes Cary Manor, its furniture and other contents collected by Sir Walter Jenner, 2nd Bt (1860-1948), in 1949.
