Summary
Oil painting on canvas, King Charles II (1630-1685), after Sir Peter Lely (Soest 1618 – London 1680). A three-quarter-length portrait of Charles II, seated, wearing robes, and a red sash with the Order of the Garter. His right arm rests on a table, on which is a crown. A curtain hangs behind him to the right, opening to reveal a column, and a landscape visible in the distance to the left.

Indigenous collection purchased by Ministry of Works in 1956 and given to Dyrham Park in 1961
