Summary
A pair of painted beech fire screens, English, circa 1780. The shaped top rail is held by moulded square section stiles surmounted with urn finials and with a retractable screen rising from the top with an inset painted silk panel with floral sprays within a wreath. Raised on moulded cheval legs tied by a turned stretcher.
