Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Lady, British (English) School, 1851/75. A half-length portrait of a lady, seated, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, her dark hair is parted in the centre and she has on a lace cap, she is wearing black satin dress with a white lace collar fastened with a cameo brooch.

Bequeathed by Malcolm John Matley Moore (1897-1982) and Miss F. Elsie Matley Moore (1900 - 1985) and given with Greyfriars to National Trust/Given with Greyfriars to National Trust from the Archaeological Society in 1966
