Summary
Carrara marble on turned marble socle, bust of a young boy or faun, possibly antique with 19th century reconstructions. An antique marble head of a young boy or faun, broken from the original body half-way down the neck. The head has been attached to a 19th century marble reconstruction of the neck and shoulders and mounted on a 19th century turned marble socle. The young faun has curly hair and casts his gaze downwards, to his right. The original nose, chin and lips were broken off and replaced with 19th century parts.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow, C. St J. (b.1936) in 1984.
