Summary
Alabaster on turned marble socle and wooden base, bust of Christ, probably Italian, c.1850-99. Christ wears a tunic gathered at the breastbone with a button. The eyes are cast down to proper right, the hair and beard long and curled. Bust mounted on a marble socle and carved ebony base.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow, C. St J. (b.1936) in 1984.
