Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Captain William Cust, RN (1720- 1728) by Enoch Seeman the younger (Gdańsk c.1694 – London 1744). Inscribed. A half-length portrait of a young man, turned to right, gazing at the spectator, powdered wig, dressed in braided uniform with white linen cravat. He was the son of Sir Richard Cust, 2nd Bt (1680-1734) and Anne Brownlow (1694-1779), the daughter of Sir William Brownlow, 4th Bt (1665-1702) and Dorothy Mason (1655?-1699-1700).
