Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, Henry Lygon, 5th Viscount Elmley, MP, later 5th Earl Beauchamp (1829-1866) by John Wood (London 1801 - London 1870). A three-quarter length portrait, seated sideways, turned slightly to the left, gazing to the left, on red leather chair, right arm leaning on its back supporting head. Left leg crossed over right, cravat held by gold ring. On the table is an open book.
