Cast in pewter this was a gift to the house in 1985. Originally bought in 1930 at the Old Iron Shop in Eversholt Street Camden for £2.10s, it was thought to be the death mask of Kings Charles II but later found to be Isaac Newton. Try comparing it to other images of Newton in the collection such as the bust and Thornhill Portrait.
