Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Mr Hammerton, British School, circa 1850/60. A three-quarter-length portrait of a gentleman, great uncle of the donor of the painting, Miss W.B. Walker, seated, looking to left, wearing black frock coat and bow tie. He has mutton chop side whiskers and aged about 40. Body slightly out of proportion to head. Sitter is great uncle of donor.
