Summary
Oil painting on canvas, A Young Child with a Dog, possibly Lucy Vernon with 'Spot', British (English) School, 19th century. An oval three-quarter-length portrait of a young child seated, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, shoulder-length brown wavy hair, wearing a white dress with a large blue bows with long ribbons attached to the right shoulder of her dress, she has her arms around a small dog.
