Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Mary Keck, Mrs Thomas Vernon (d.1733) by John Vanderbank the younger (London 1694 - London 1739). A three-quarter length portrait of the daughter of Sir Anthony Keck, who married Thomas Vernon in 1679. She is seated, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, her left arm resting on a table, her right hand in her lap holding two sprigs of myrtle/orange-blossom, she has powdered hair with a ringlet falling on her left shoulder, she is wearing a brown dress over a white chemise. Inscribed.
