Broadwood square piano. 1809Rectangular case with mahogany cross-banding and ebony stringing. Double-hinged lid with 2 metal catches. Ormolu inlaid lines. 6 mahogany turned, reeded tapered legs with 5 brass rings at top, on casters. Carved fretted sounding board. A folding music stand inside the left-hand compartment. Inscribed on sounding board 'John Broadwood and Son. Makers to His Majesty and the Princesses. Great Pulteney Street, Golden Square, London'. Inscribed in pencil inside right-hand compartment 'Lady C Harbord'.
