Summary
Oil painting on canvas, James Buller of Shillingham and Morval, MP (1717–1765) by Sir Joshua Reynolds PRA (Plympton 1723 - London 1792). A half-length portrait of the brother-in-law of Mary Bampfylde who married Francis Buller (1723 - 1766) in 1749 whom she lived with at Antony after the death of her first husband, Coventry Carew. His sister Anne (1724 - 1758), daughter of John Francis Buller, married Reginald Pole of Stoke Damerel, Devon.
