George II mahogany bracket clock, the arched silvered dial signed Wm. Nightingale London, with calendar and pendulum aperture with strike/silent dial in the arch, in a case with an inverted bell top. Comment of Cosby Fine Clock Restorations, Marlborough, 9th January 1995 - 'a late mahogany case with inverted bell top. A plain silvered dial. A nicely engraved, full backplate. A verge movement converted to an anchor escapement. Missing false pendulum'. ' Case painted with stained varnish'?
