Summary
Miniature plaster replica of the Parthenon frieze, framed in sections in mahogany cases with glass on top. The frieze sculpture relief is moulded in section and the sections joined within the frame. e). A short frame containing two sections of plaster showing part of the West frieze of the Parthenon by Phidias. A soldier on horseback is followed by other cavaliers, one dismounted with a rearing horse. Inscribed in ink on the back 'Belongs to end of a bookcase' and in pencil 'left hand of bookcase'.
