Summary
Oak and pine display case with a glass top divided by a central oak strut. The interior is divided into 19 small compartments, each containing labelled excavated specimens. A label on the lid reads; 'The contents of this case were found in the Manifold Valley, Near Warslow, Staffordshire'. The bones etc. come from a cave. Each compartment is lined with paper. the lid is hinged and fastened with hooks in front.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.

The contents of this case were found in the Manifold Valley, Near Warslow, Staffordshire (inscribed label on lid)
