Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, Lady Sadleir by Mary Beale (Barrow 1633 – London 1699), circa 1687. Half length portrait of Lady Sadleir seated, facing front, wearing tan gown over white shift off the shoulders. Label - Lady Sadleir, wife of Sir Edwin Sadleir and widow of William Groom M.D., F.R.S. founded the Sadleirian Lectureship at Cambridge. Died 1706.
