Coleridge Cottage, Somerset
Tom Poole, a local tanner, was Coleridge's great friend, and the young poet often escaped to Poole's house through their connecting gardens. Coleridge inspired Poole with his learning and brilliant conversation, while Poole offered Coleridge financial help and found the cottage for the poet and his family.
