The side of a canal with a bridge, two boats and a female figure. Gilded wooden frame. Damage on right and left lower. Back - two wooden pieces joined with tape top to bottom; in middle there is mould. Lower Centre - paper label. Bought by Antony Gibbs from the Fine Art Society, 1882; purchased by the National Trust from the estate of the late George Richard Lawley Gibbs, 2nd Baron Wraxall (1928 – 2001) with the assistance of the NHMF, the Art Fund and donations from members and supporters in 2002
