Oil painting on canvas, Algernon Sidney (1622 - 1683), English School, circa 1800. A painted oval, portrait of a man, possibly Algernon Sidney, half-length to right, facing, wearing a breastplate over a red jerkin. A painting after a mezzotint (1663) by Edward Luttrell after Justus van Egmont.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Edgar Graham Lister (1873 – 1956) with the house and collection of furniture in 1956.
