Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, Richmond Castle from the River, British (English) School, 18th century. In the foreground, figures amble and sit on the bank of the river and in the background, a line of figures crosses an arched bridge. The painting is set into a wide giltwood frame with composition ornament, including stylised acanthus leaves.
