Summary
Oil painting on canvas laid down on hardboard (oval), Robert Lenox, British (English) School, late 17th century. A half-length portrait of a young man, turned slightly to the right, head turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, in a red cross-over robe with blue lining and white linen stock, brown curled wig to shoulders.
Provenance
Purchased by National Trust in 1957 from William Lowry Lenox-Conyngham (1903–1957), shortly before his death, along with the other contents of Springhill
