Summary
Ice Pail with liner and cover, bone china, 'Lady Stafford' shape, spreading foot with bucket shaped body, two scalloped ledge handles, inset cover with vertical handle with ring terminal, Josiah Spode II, Staffordshire, ca 1808; hand-painted with iron-red & black enamels with gilt including floral swags across the upper body and feather-like plumes, with repeating bands of leaves at the rims.
Provenance
Part of the Bambridge Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Mrs Elsie Bambridge (1896-1976)
