Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Lady by John Hoppner, RA (London 1758 – London 1810). A three-quarter-length portrait of a young woman in front of a tree set in a landscape, looks to her right. She is wearing a white dress with black girdle and red wrap. Fair hair down her back, one lock over left shoulder.


Given with Greys Court by Sir Felix John Morgan Brunner, 3rd Bt (1897 – 1982) and (Dorothea) Elizabeth Irving, Lady Brunner (1904 – 2003) in 1969
