Summary

A shaped fan with a carved painted wood handle with a metal ferrule. Silk mounted on cardboard . Both sides hand painted, one with two greccean columns within a border of blue ribbon, flowers and insects. SIgned By - Lon / xmas 1857. The other side with Edith Londonderry cypher of a E set within crossed Ls, within a green oval pendant on a blue ribbon with butterfly and vegetation

Provenance

Accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust, 2013
