Summary
Painting. An oil painting on canvas, a standing full-length portrait of Sir Charles Morgan Robinson Morgan, 1st Baron Tredegar (1792 - 1875), in front of a red curtain, wearing a black suit, British School, 1860. He holds a letter in his left hand. There is a round hall table on the right, with an envelope on top of it, and a plan resting against it.
Provenance
Part of the collection on loan to the National Trust from Newport Museum and Galleries. In March 2012 the National Trust took over the management of Tredegar House with its contents and its 90 acres of gardens and parkland, from Newport City Council for a period of 50 years.
