Oil painting on canvas, Sir Thomas Wenman, Later 2nd Viscount Wenman (1596 - 1664), attributed to Henry Stone, known as 'Old Stone' (London 1616 - London 1653). A three-quarter-length portrait, standing, wearing brown robes and a red cloak, a dog by his side. Inscribed with the identity of the sitter.

The Wenman Family, Thame Park, Oxford; by descent to Sophia Elizabth Wykeman, Baroness Wenman of Thame Park; bought Sotheby's, London, 18th November 1987, lot 22; became the property of the National Trust, by donation, with all profits henceforward benefiting the houses and the charity, from Historic House Hotels Ltd and all its interests in Hartwell House and the other two Historic House Hotels, Bodyscallen Hall and Midddlethorpe Hall, in September 2008
