Summary
A soapstone seated figure of the Buddhist goddess, Kuan-Yin (also called Guan yin), holding a scroll in her left hand and a rosary in her right hand. She wears a long robe with a hood which is intricately decorated with a floral band along the edge. On a carved rosewood stand.

Listed in the 1949 catalogue of Lady Binning's collection at Fenton House compiled by H. Clifford Smith, p.10. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Lady Katherine Binning (1871-1952) with Fenton House in 1952.
