Summary
Oil painting on panel, King Richard III (1452–1485) by British (English) School, 17th century. A half-length portrait, facing viewer's right, three-quarter face, with black hat with jewel in it. His left hand takes a ring off his right little finger. Against a dark red ground with "Ricardus III Ang. Rex" written above. A copy of the painting in the NPG, representing a type of which the earliest is probably the version in the Royal Collection.
Provenance
Possibly bequeathed by Katherine Salting, Lady Binning (1871 - 1952) to the National Trust as part of the contents of Fenton House
