Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Youth called 'Master Jones', British (English) School, 1680-1690. Half-length, portrait of a youth, facing, head turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, standing, his right fist on his hip his left resting on a ledge and holding a fold of his brown cloak which hangs from his left shoulder and is looped up in his right hand. He is in a dark brown curled wig, and wearing a purple tunic over a full white shirt and a lace cravat. There are imaginary ruined arches in the background to the left.
