Summary
Oil painting on panel, Presumed to be Henry Jones I (1581/1582 - 1656), aged 32 British (English) School, inscribed at top: ÆTATIS SVÆ, 32 Y ANN DÑL. 1614 YONE TOLLAT LVX SVPREMA TOTVM - "Let not the Supreme Light take away everything". A three-quarter-length portrait of the eldest son of Waletr Jones and husband of Anne Fettiplace, standing turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a black tunic and lace ruff and sleeves. Black cape. His right hand part-concealed, his left by his side. Inscription similarly added or renewed.
