A Chamberlain's Worcester armorial porcelain part tea and coffee service, early 19thC, with polychrome 'Imari' enamels of blue, red, green and gilt, the pattern incorporating heart-shaped coats of arms and reserves of fern ornament on white ground painted with flowers. (i-viii) x8 coffee cups, inner rims with scarlet pimpernels; (ix) x1 teacup; (x-xviii) saucers. Inventory marked as: CHS/C/30c v
apparently made for John and Arthur Jones at the direction of John Henry Whitmore, Arthur's heir.
