Summary
Oil painting on panel, Queen Mary I, attributed to Antonis Mor (Utrecht 1519-1575) Three-quarters. She stands facing, dressed in a dark brown gown with velvet yoke. A wide open collar displays a small ruff close round the throat. Both are embroidered to match the cuffs, which show inside her large fur hanging sleeves. She holds a glove in her left hand, and wears a cap trimmed with pearls, showing her reddish hair.
