Summary
Chiffonier. A 17th century English carved oak chiffonier, remade in two parts by Thomas Hopper in the 19th century. There are two doors with geometric moulding, flanked by carved male and female terms with entwined serpents' tails, with a differently carved female term in the centre. There is a gadrooned frieze with lions' heads at the corners and a marble top; 17th C., remade in 2 parts in 19th C., Hopper.
