Summary
Oil painting on canvas, A Norfolk Beach Scene, attributed to Joseph Stannard (Norwich 1797 – Norwich 1830). Fishing boats on the beach with several figures. The central group consists of a man on a white horse and a woman in a red coat and blue skirt who appears to be bartering for fish with two fishermen. Maritime painting.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
