Summary
Oil painting on canvas (oval), Anne Buckle, Mrs Cremer Cremer (1772-1860), British (English) School, circa 1800-1805. A square-framed oval half-length portrait of a lady, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, in a black dress with white trimmings wearing a chiffon head-band, black choker and wrist band, with earrings. Behind is a green curtain and to the right a window on a garden. She leans on a book. Companion to NT 1401285.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969).
