Ceramic, Staffordshire, William Shakespeare (1564-1616), Staffordshire Pottery. Full-length Staffordshire pottery figure of Shakespeare, late C19. Dressed in white and holding a red book leans on his right elbow on a stack of red and blue books on a plinth, marked on stand 'Shakespeare'.
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
