Oil painting on panel, Cattle and Sheep by a River by Jan Baptiste de Jonghe (1785 - Schaerbeek 1844), signed J B De Jonghe in lower left corner, almost hidden by frame. Marked in pencil at top of frame, No 1 from Door to Window / over Bookcase - Back drawing room / Drawing Room. According to Sotheby, in the manner of Albert Cuyp and listed in the catalogue of 1912 as by Cuyp.
