Summary
Alabaster, An Alahambra Doorway, Spanish School, 19th century. A Spanish polychrome stucco and alabaster relief model of an Alhambra archway (one of four similar) in a glazed giltwood frame with the framer's paper label to the reverse, decorative single flower pattern, mirrored back to arch. Loose pieces from broken bottom edge. Label reads FROST AND REED but otherwise poor condition and indecipherable. Paper sealing tape damaged and securing nails visble.

With Frost and Reed, Bristol, 1891; purchased by the National Trust from the estate of the late George Richard Lawley Gibbs, 2nd Baron Wraxall (1928 – 2001) with the assistance of the NHMF, the Art Fund and donations from members and supporters in 2002
