Summary
Fine white muslin chemisette made from four pieces. High neckline with stand collar of double muslin. Front cut in rectangular shape, yoke decorated with 35mm wide lace insertion, probably East Midlands bobbin lace. Back cut in a triangular shape. Shoulder seam emphasised with double row of French knots worked in cotton thread. Hem folded to make casing for cotton tape drawstring (for waist). Fastens at centre back neck with two Dorset thread buttons, probably made for a child.
