Summary
Uniform coat - Other ranks coat of the First Foot Guards, made from red wool with blue facings, cream wool twill lining to the skirt front facings. Decorated with cream braid bastion loops down the front, on pocket flaps, cuffs and either side of centre-back vent. Edges and flaps edged in braid. It fastens with pewter buttons. There is an identical coat in the National Army Museum Collection. (uniform)
